A couple of quick things...
Just a quick couple of things I’ve done lately that haven’t made it into the blog.
A little over a week ago I decided to see sunrise at the top of Haleakala. Apparently it’s supposed to be pretty cool and a lot of tourists do it. The thing is, the drive is really long, and if you want a parking space you’d better be there at least an hour before sunrise to see it best. Most people leave home around 2am to see it. So anyway, a few friends from the ward and I decided to do it. And me in my infinite wisdom came up with the idea of pulling an all-nighter. So Friday night they came over to my house and we played a rousing game of Phase 10, then headed up to the top of the volcano. Luckily I took my headlamp because it was so dark up there. For a while we just lay out and watched the stars (lots of shooting stars). And I thought the sky in southern
Eventually people did start showing up. And sunrise was dang cool. There were lots of clouds and I don’t know if that was a good thing or a bad thing. Was it worth it? I dunno – I certainly won’t do an all-nighter again. I’m gettin’ too old for that anymore.
The other thing recently was Christin and I went to a Wailer’s concert this last Saturday night. We went with a couple of Christin’s friends from work, and it was a blast! For how popular reggae music is here (and Bob Marley specifically) I was surprised how few people showed up for it. It was quite a contrast to the Jack concert not long ago. Well, there was lots of drinking and pot smoking, I guess that much was the same :)

Dang, even with the clouds it's pretty awesome> especially where it looks like you're looking down on the clouds... totally dream-like / surreal. It's up to you as to whether the all-nighter was worth it... but it was worth it to me to navigate to your blog to see cool pics! hehe.
Actually, even though that second pic is a little blurry when you look at the larger version, I think it would make a cool digital painting. I'll have to play with it :D
well, i'm glad you like the pics. And if you do a digital painting of that one i'd love to see it.
